What to Bring:

One large towel

An empty stomach (eat last meal two hours before class, snack on fruit if you desire)

A bottle of water

Comfortable clothing (allowing full range of movement)

Arrive 5 minutes early for class to sign in and get comfortable

Please leave shoes at the door, and cell phones in the car

 

Class Descriptions:

First and foremost, it is important to note that all class types are available to all levels of experience and fitness.  The descriptions below may give a little extra insight as to your preference on a particular day.

Regular Class - consists of initial breathing and warm up asanas (postures), followed by a standing balance, strength and flexibility series.  After a short savasana (meditative pose) comes the floor postures, including hip opening and back stengthening series.  The class ends with a relaxation period (final savasana).

Hatha (with Kerry) Both Kerry’s classes are suitable for beginners and those who wish for a slower and less energetic practice. 

Tuesday’s class includes ½ hour of the sublimely relaxing iRest Yoga Nidra. 

Thursday’s class is a gentle hatha class with 15 minutes of relaxation and meditation at the end.

Hot Yoga - A mix between power flow and regular class, adapting to participants.  Performed in 28-32 degrees temperature to help stretch deeper and cleanse toxins through the skin.

Power Flow - A dynamic vinyasa flow, which will get the heart going and the muscles burning.  For those looking for a wee bit of cardio with their yoga.  You'll be nicely challenged, and extra refreshed and energised when done.

Slow Flow - A gentler, slower version of power flow.

Pilates - 45 minutes of dynamic core strenthening movement.  Prepare to work hard, but with the challenge will come much reward

VinYin - Incorporating the best of both worlds, Vin YIN begins with an active and fluid VINyasa flow where we prepare the body and use the breath to link each posture together, whilst building strength. We then move into a deeper YIN sequence which focuses on longer holds and deeper stretches. Here we work beyond the muscles, releasing tendons, ligaments and fascia, and use our breath to help us relax - and slow right down. You'll walk away feeling rejuvenated!.
